Local tools
Tools marked "Runs in your browser" do exactly that. The text you paste into them is processed on your device and is not sent to us or to anyone else. Result permalinks for local tools put your input in the URL fragment, which browsers never transmit to a server.
Remote tools
Tools marked "Queries the target from our servers" send the target you enter (a hostname, an address, a domain) to our servers so the query can be made from the internet. We will keep short-lived logs of those requests for abuse prevention and debugging, and full TLS scan reports for a limited period behind an unlisted link. The retention periods will be stated here once they are fixed.
Analytics, cookies and ads
There is no advertising or third-party tracking on this site today. We keep bounded counts of tool starts, results, errors, copies and exports in your browser by UTC day and tool ID. When you visit the tools catalogue, the site sends those counts to the same-origin coordinator, which adds them to aggregate bins. The count body contains no pasted input, target, token or visitor identifier. Local tool pages still send no usage requests. Theme choice, favorites, recents and these counts live in local storage and can be removed by clearing site data.
